Founded in 2009, The Friends of Wadi Foquin is a network of individuals and faith communities seeking to support the survival and thriving of a threatened West Bank village. Wadi Foquin is situated between a growing illegal Israeli settlement, the Apartheid Wall, and an Israeli town on the other side of the Green Line.

We believe that faithful friendship builds solidarity and empowers ordinary people to act with courage and clarity, especially in the face of overwhelming injustice. As friends, we pray for one another, advocate for one another, visit with one another, and leverage our resources to care for and support one another.

Our actions and solidarity are organized around the following circles of concern:

• Prayer: Gather monthly to hear village updates and pray for specific concerns and needs
• Education: Organize learning opportunities to strengthen understanding of village context and reality
• Advocacy: Align campaigns to support village identified priorities and respond to emergent issues
• Engagement: Organize solidarity pilgrimages and develop programs to engage supporters
• Giving: Fundraise for village-identified economic development projects and mutual aid/charitable gifts

The Friends of Wadi Foquin is guided by a Steering Committee made up of village representatives as well as lay and clergy people in the U.S. The Steering Committee meets monthly.
